Pennington Seed, a division providing sales support and logistics for both proprietary brands and other consumer recognized brands, is searching for a Territory Manager for Pro Turf Sales in the PA region.  This is a sales position requiring a B.S. or M.S. in Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, Forestry, Horticulture, Turf or a related field with computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. We are seeking an aggressive, assertive, self-starter that can detail products and sell, based on competitive advantages. This position includes both some established customers and a large pool of potential business through established businesses needing these services. This position has a customer base including: Distributors, Sod Farms, Park and Recreation Departments, Government Agency Public Works departments, High School and College Athletics, Golf Courses, Erosion Control customers and Contractors, etc. There is opportunity for growth in this sales industry and career growth potential.  The position will report to the Regional Sales Manager and interface with our Professional Turf business development and sales teams.

MEASURES OF SUCCESSMust be able to build relationships with a diverse customer base. Build, strengthen, and leverage relationships with key customersHelp with development of sales strategies to introduce new seed technologies in the professional markets.Grow sales to existing customers, including warehouse direct pick up sales.Focus seasonally on sales programs to gain new accounts, increase sales, and grow market share for Pennington products.Utilize Pro Turf “resources” (agronomists, sales managers, vendors, etc.) daily to grow sales and develop relationships.Collaborate with sales and business development teams on project proposal dispersal to potential customers.Assist operations with seed mixing and delivery.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTESBS or MS in Agriculture, Agricultural Business, Biology, Turf or a related field required.Strong working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel Outlook and PowerPoint.Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
WORKING CONDITIONSSales rep environment on a daily basis (phone calls and face-to-face interaction)Travel required, including overnight and air travel. Travel expenses are reimbursed by the Company.25% travel.
